Reconnecting

img_1663An article by VAWnet.org talks about reconnecting and reunifying families after child sexual abuse. The topic itself can bring up intense feelings. What I like about the article is that the process laid out for reunification can be used for other family conflicts as well. Take a look and tell me what you think.

  1. Treatment for the whole family.
  2. Assessing all sources of conflict.
  3. Discussing what happened and accepting responsibility.
  4. Planning for safety.
  5. Then reconnecting.
